This has never happened before in the history of Dietzel. A Dietzel trainee has qualified for the 14th national competition "Jugend schweißt". Our apprentice Janis competed together with 3 other young welders in Team Thuringia. This consisted of 2 apprentices from Schachtbau Nordhausen and Chris from Bildungswerk Gera. Together, the Thuringia team welded a workpiece in the final, which was then subjected to a 50-bar pressure test. After four exciting and eventful days at the national finals in Essen, the Thuringia team won the bronze medal. The "Jugend schweißt" adventure started back in March with participation in the district competition in Rudolstadt. Together with 2 other Dietzel trainees and Chris, Janis qualified for the state competition in Nordhausen. In the end, Janis and Chris managed to qualify for the national final. We are very proud of our Dietzelian and the Thuringian team.
A big thank you goes to the Bildungswerk Bau - only through the support and the joint preliminary training were we able to make it this far together!
